Schnitzel made hearty and fruity. How do we do it? We take our vegan Easy Mix Schnitzel, bread it, fry it until crispy and serve it with a fruity orange gravy and delicious rice. A great combination, see for yourself!
Ingredients
For about 2 servings || Enjoy in 50 minutes
- ½ pack Easy Mix Schnitzel
- 30g breadcrumbs
- 120g rice
- 1 onion
- 1 orange
- 150ml orange juice
- 1 tbsp flour
- 150ml vegan cream
- 1 tbsp margarine
- 1 pinch of sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
- salt & pepper
- ½ bunch parsley


Preparation
- Mix and cool the Easy Mix Schnitzel according to the instructions.
- Meanwhile, cook the rice according to the preparation instructions.
- For the gravy, peel and chop the onion.
- Wash the orange, grate the zest (1 tsp), then peel and slice.
- Heat the butter in a saucepan and sauté the onion cubes briefly.
- Now sweat the flour in and gradually add the orange juice and cream, stirring until you have a creamy sauce.
- Add the sugar, mustard and orange zest and simmer for 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Wash and roughly chop the parsley.
- After the chilling time, take the schnitzel mix out of the fridge, shape into flat schnitzel, brush with a little water and coat in breadcrumbs. Fry in a non-stick pan according to the instructions.
- Serve the schnitzel with rice and gravy and garnish with parsley and orange slices. Enjoy!
