My absolute favourite! Since going vegan only thing I've been craving is fish. These smell like fish, taste like fish, no fish were harmed in the process so what's not to like. Kids really like them too.
I tried these, but I could not cope with the smell. It reminded me of the chopped up fish I used as bait for sea fishing! I had to bin it - really sorry! A rare miss, as I really love your other products.
I made these today, and unfortunately the smell was overwhelming 😕
It made my fridge stink, and the house a bit whiff
I carried on to cook them and luckily the smell was reduced, and when I went to eat them they actually tested great, not fishy at all.
If you can get past the initial smell then great, unfortunately I couldn't
I bought one of each product last week. On Friday I mixed, according to the packet, the fishcakes. Once reconstituted, I thought "uh-oh" and gently put the container of this grey mixed mass into the 'fridge. Each time I went into the 'fridge, I gave the container a side eye...and chose something else to cook...
Today I was peckish and thought: "It's now or never", and shaped the mixture into five fishcakes: two and half each for my husband and I, I decided.
I started frying them on a medium heat in some olive oil, they changed colour into a light gold...and smelt lovely! They were moist, which was evidenced by the evaporating water, yet they didn't dry out. The fishcakes had a nice firm texture...and the flavour was delicious! They had a delicate fishy flavour, which must be from black salt(?) and they were correctly seasoned. They tasted as if I had made them at home, and I'm a good cook... I must confess to eating the lot...🤦🏾♀️I'll definitely buy again...
I just made these for dinner and they were good! They actually taste and smell sort of fishy. Fish cakes are one of the few things I’ve missed since going vegan so I’ll definitely make them again. Great with home made tartar sauce and a squeeze of lemon.
